Before you can make the glowing ink, you need the materials, and this will require a few different shopping stops.You will have to travel to your local craft store of the arts and crafts section of a major retail store to purchase some glow in the dark powder.The next thing you’re going to need is an ink refill kit.If you don’t, you can easily find one online or at your nearest office supply store. Be sure that this kit is compatible with your printer. Finally, you’ll need a syringe so that you can transfer the ink back-and-forth between the cartridge and your mixing bowl.

When you’ve assembled the necessary materials, you need to mix a quarter-teaspoon of the glow in the dark powder with 3 teaspoons of the printer ink (microwave safe bowl). Microwave for about 30 seconds to dissolve the powder, then stir well to make sure that all of the powder is incorporated into the ink.Let this mixture cool for a few minutes now. Use the syringe to pick up all the ink mixture and transfer it back into your empty ink cartridge. Put the syringe into the refill holes of the cartridge (check the refill kit instructions to find out where the refill holes are located). Before you print your artwork, make sure to run the cleaning cycle on your printer.After the ink is printer out, it will need to be exposed to light for a few minutes before it can be expected to glow.
